INDEX FEST CANCELS STOP IN HOUSTON, TEXAS

INDEX FESTIVALS, LLC TEMPORARILY FORCED TO CANCEL
SEPTEMBER 16 th EVENT AT POST HTX IN HOUSTON, TX.

Houston, TX (September 8th 2017) – It is with deep disappointment and heavy hearts that Index Festivals, LLC is forced to announce the cancellation of our scheduled event on September 16th 2017 in Houston, TX. All possible efforts were made to execute a successful event for guests, vendors, and local businesses. Due to extensive damage to Houston and surrounding areas by Hurricane Harvey, coupled with the increased strain on necessary resources, Index Fest (Houston) has been forced to cease local operations to ensure the safety and well being of all parties involved.  It is imperative that the focus in Houston remains on the recovery and restoration of its vibrant communities and, most importantly, those affected by this powerful and devastating storm.

Index Fest Director, Brad Weiss states:

“Our hearts go out to everyone affected or displaced by Hurricane Harvey. While we were excited at the opportunity to bring the newly rebranded Index Fest to Houston, our main concern is, and always will be, the safety of our guests. Though we’ve been forced to cancel the event on September 16th, plans are already underway for a future date. The overwhelming support of the local community, and commitment of our generous event sponsors, reassures that this event can and will be a great success. “

Face value refunds will automatically be processed for anyone who has purchased a ticket or ticket package for Index Fest Houston. Refunds will be issued beginning Monday, September 11th.  Once issued, you will receive a refund confirmation email to the email address used for the purchase.  Please note: once your refund is issued, it may take 3-5 business days for the change to be reflected on your statement. For any additional questions or concerns, contact Prekindle for support via email at support@prekindle.com.

To further aid Houston’s recovery efforts, the producers of Index Fest have created a special relief fund titled ‘Index Fest (Houston) – Hurricane Harvey Relief’ on Fundly – CICK TO DONATE.  In exchange for your generosity, discount codes will be provided based on your donation level.

We strongly urge all patrons to consider donating, as 100% of funds will directly benefit those affected via Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner’s Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund (more info at http://ghcf.org).  In addition to all funds raised, Index Festivals, LLC has pledged to match the total donations up to $5,000.

Details regarding the rescheduled Index Fest date will be forthcoming.

Picking up where the Untapped Craft Beer and Music Festival series left off, Index Fest remains dedicated to providing patrons with a diverse selection of craft beers from Texas & beyond. And while the same focus on quality craft beer and music remains, Index Fest has expanded upon the foundation built by the Untapped Festival series. The long-term vision for Index Fest includes elevating new components of high-quality local food and visual art displays to a similar level as the traditional craft beer & live music offerings.

“Index Fest is dedicated to upholding the groundwork of Untapped Festival’s enormously fun and flavorful craft beer and music programming, while curating a fresh focus on local food and dynamic visual art installations. I can’t wait to share our long-term vision for the festival with Texas’ thriving craft beer community,” says festival director Brad Weiss.
